Of the many things to do in Vancouver, Capilano Suspension Bridge presents a naturally thrilling adventure every day and additional family friendly activities throughout the year. Enjoy these events and more when you become a Capilano Suspension Bridge Member.

June 2010 – Vancouver International Jazz

For five nights in June & July Capilano Suspension Bridge will groove to the cool sounds of jazz. As a FREE venue for the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, Capilano Suspension Bridge offers the most stunning backdrop of any venue! Concerts are from 7pm to 9pm.

July 1, 2010 – Canada Day

The team at Capilano will be proudly showing their pride and patriotism this Canada Day. Visitors to the popular attraction will have the opportunity to participate in the spirit of a country celebrating Canada's 143rd birthday.

Join us from 11am to 4pm for Canada Day games along with Canadian trivia, children's activities, temporary tattoos, and a huge birthday cake which will be served at 2pm!

October – Harvest Festival

Capilano Suspension Bridge celebrates the Harvest Festival in October. The park is decorated with a Harvest theme and offers musical entertainment. Enjoy special activities for the whole family both Thanksgiving Weekend (October 9, 10 & 11) and Halloween Weekend (October 30 & 31).


On Thanksgiving Weekend (October 9, 10 & 11, 2010) enjoy the Rainforest Explorers Program, temporary tattoos, musical entertainment and kids crafts.

On Halloween Weekend (October 30 & 31, 2010) enjoy a grand Jack-o-lantern display, along with fortune telling, temporary tattoos, kids crafts, musical entertainment and trick-or-treating if you show up in your costume!


Date TBD – Landsea Tours: Stuff the Bus Clothing Drive

Landsea Tours is calling on the tourism community to help them "Stuff the Bus" for the homeless. They have taken out all the seats from their 24-seater tour bus. Capilano Suspension Bridge will be a location collecting donations of lightly used blankets, sleeping bags, winter coats and warm clothing to help Landsea "Stuff the Bus". All items will go to Vancouver Homeless Shelters operated by St. James Community Service Society - a charity active in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. Help Landsea Tours "Stuff the Bus" by bringing your donations to Capilano Suspension Bridge in October (dates TBD)

December 2010 - Canyon Lights

Capilano Suspension Bridge invites you to Canyon Lights, a winter celebration of light. Cross the suspension bridge to Treetops Adventure and explore the forest from yet another perspective at night. Enjoy the Christmas Band, dressed in historical winter costumes, performing every evening at 5:30pm, 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm. Glass blower Malcolm Macfadyen will add extra twinkle, teaching guests how to make glass icicle ornaments. Another highlight is the spectacular maple tree, draped in an extravaganza of colour. Canyon Lights features over 250,000 twinkling lights throughout the park.

Canyon Lights will be on display from Friday, December 3, 2010 to January 1, 2011 from 5:00 - 9:00pm daily, except on December 25, when the park is closed all day. The cost for adults is $15, children (6-12) are $5 or $35 for a family of four (2 adults & 2 kids).
